The composite sliding gate meets the needs of those who appreciate the look of wood but prefer to avoid its drawbacks. Composite materials require no treatment against moisture and are resistant to rot. Unlike a wooden gate, this model requires neither sanding nor periodic treatment. To remove dust, pollen, or dirt, clean the composite slats with warm water and a mild detergent. Then rinse the infill and the aluminum frame. Occasional checks of the guide and closing mechanisms are a useful addition to this routine maintenance. The hardware and locking points can be wiped down at the same time to maintain smooth operation.
